Marek, Andrea, Alex a Maxim – to jsme my, naše obyčejná rodina

s neobyčejnými dětmi. Dvojčata Alex a Maxim se narodili v roce

2009 – zdraví. Pro nás začala nová životní etapa – rodičovství… krásné a náročné období. Netušili jsme však, že to co na nás čeká, bude mnohem, mnohem náročnější. Do našich životů vstoupil nezvaný

host – diagnóza autismus. Toto postižení způsobilo, že se začaly viditelně projevovat rozdíly mezi našimi dětmi a jejich vrstevníky, a to po všech stránkách, komunikační, sociální, dovednostní i zájmové.

Alex a Maxim jsou naši dva úžasňáci! Naučili nás koukat na svět jinýma očima a radovat se z maličkostí a z jakéhokoli byť drobného úspěchu. My jako rodiče se snažíme být jim dobrými průvodci na jejich cestě životem. Bohužel však nejsou kluci schopní samostatného života. Už dlouho přemýšlíme a trápíme se otázkou, co bude, až nám jako rodičům dojdou síly. Jediným řešením je chráněné bydlení, na které si Alex a Maxim postupně zvyknou a které jim zajistí nový a bezpečný domov.

Marek, Andrea, Alex and Maxim – that’s our family, our ordinary family with extraordinary children. Our twins Alex and Maxix were born healthy in 2009. We started a new episode of our life together – being parents, which was beautiful, although challenging. But at that time we didn’t know that what is in front of us is much more challenging that we could have ever imagined. A new unwelcomed guest entered our lives – Autism. This condition made the differences between our children and their friends more apparent in all areas, including communication, social interactions, capabilities and hobbies.

Alex and Maxim are our two wonderful boys! They taught us to look at the world with different eyes, and to find joy in every achievemtn – even the smallest ones. As their parents we try our best to be their guides on their life journey, but the boys are unfortunately struggling with their independence. We have been worrying about the future and what will happen once we are not able to support them for a long time. The only solution is supported living that Alex and Maxim will slowly get used to, and which will ptovide them with a new and secure home.
